If you want to work, study, get married, or do anything else in Germany, you'll need a sworn translation of your documents. These must be done by a sworn translator—someone who not only translates but also certifies the document with their official stamp.
As a sworn translator for Spanish and German, I'll be happy to take on all the paperwork for you – so you have one thing less to worry about!
Which type of documents needs to be certified?
A certified translation is necessary when you need to present your documents to official authorities, such as government agencies or courts. These documents include, for example:
- Certificates: Birth certificates, marriage certificates, divorce decrees
- Identifikationsdokumente: Reisepässe, Personalausweise, Führerscheine
- Contracts like divorce settlement agreements, purchase contracts
- Diplomas: School leaving certificates, bachelor's and master's diplomas
- Notarized documents: Marriage contracts, statutory declarations
- Court judgements
- Apostilles
How do I get a certified translation?
Simply send your documents to info@annika-zang.com and let me know by when you need it to be done.
I will then create a free, non-binding offer for you. If you accept it, I'll start translating.
As soon as the translation is done, I'll first send you the digital version. That way, you can check if everything is correct.
If everything is fine, I will stamp and sign the translation and send it to you by mail. Depending on the shipping method you choose, I will also be happy to provide you with the tracking number – for your peace of mind.
How much does a sworn translation cost?
Certified translations are generally not charged by word count, but rather by standard page – because, unlike regular translations, official documents often need some more formatting. For each standard page, I charge between 45 and 75 Euros, depending on the complexity and volume. In addition, there is a certification fee of 15 Euros, shipping costs, and VAT. For instance, if you would like to have a one-page birth certificate translated and sent via registered mail, the price would be approximately 75 Euros. However, since each document is different, it is difficult to provide an exact price here.
